• Account details – email address and basic profile so you can sign in and manage reports.
• Scan inputs – companies, products, or URLs you ask us to analyze.
• Usage data – high level analytics (pages visited, buttons clicked) to understand how the product is used.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Run the analyzer and generate reports you request.
• Maintain your workspace and history of scans.
• Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience.

We do not sell your data to third parties or use your reports for generic ad targeting.

3. Data retention

Reports and scan inputs are stored so you can revisit and compare them over time. You can delete individual reports from the dashboard; this permanently removes the report content from your account storage.

4. Third‑party services

We rely on infrastructure providers (e.g. cloud hosting, logging, payments) to run Gap Detector. These vendors only process data on our behalf and under contractual obligations to protect it.

5. Security

We use industry‑standard security practices such as TLS encryption in transit and restricted access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your reports as sensitive and design the product accordingly.

6. Your choices

• Delete reports you no longer want stored.
• Contact us to request deletion of your account.
• Opt out of non‑essential product emails.
